Our Mission
At Palacios Disability, P.A, we strive to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, and ardent representation for individuals
in South Florida who are seeking to obtain Social Security disability benefits.
We offer comprehensive claim evaluation, case development, and claimant representation for adults and children with physical
and psychiatric disabilities. As such, we handle all types of disability claims, including Disability Insurance Benefits (“DIB”),
Supplemental Security Income (“SSI”), Disabled Widow’s/Widower’s Benefits (“DWB”), and Disabled Adult Child Benefits (“DAC”).
Social Security disability is all that we do, so you will benefit from our extensive knowledge of the law as we guide you through
the complex claims process from Initial Application all the way through Federal Court.
Our Commitment
From day one, we will:
- Personally meet with you to discuss your prospective or pending claim
- Conduct a comprehensive, no cost/no obligation, evaluation of your case
- Help to prepare your initial application (if you have not already filed)
- Obtain relevant medical records and other information
- Draft correspondence to the Social Security Administration
- Prepare a legal memorandum setting forth our theory of disability in your claim
- File appeals, including Requests for Reconsideration, Requests for Hearing, and Requests for Review by the Appeals Council
- Prepare you, as well as any witnesses, for testifying at your hearing
- Present your case at a hearing before a Social Security Administrative Law Judge
Fees
We will evaluate your claim at absolutely no cost or obligation to you. In fact, we will never charge you a fee for
our services unless you are ultimately awarded benefits.
When you are awarded benefits, our fee is capped at the lesser of 25% or $6,000.00 of any retroactive funds owed to you
by the Social Security Administration in our representation of your claim through the hearing level. If we must file a
Request for Review of the Administrative Law Judge’s decision with the Appeals Council, then our fee is limited simply to
25% of any retroactive benefits. Importantly, this means you will retain 100% of the funds you receive as part of your ongoing monthly benefits.
In addition, we will pay for any upfront costs related to obtaining copies of your medical records, and we will only seek
reimbursement of these costs if you are ultimately awarded disability benefits.
Please feel free to contact us. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your case as well as any questions you may have about our services and/or fees.
